iZeno Connected the Horizon in Bank BRI's Ceria Apps
PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk. (BRI) is one of the largest state-owned banks in Indonesia. The Bank was established by Raden Bei Aria Wirjaatmadja on December 16, 1895 in Purwokerto, Central Java. With over 120 years of experience, Bank BRI manages millions of customer transactions non-stop 24/7 through service facilities spread across the country.
The biggest challenge was experienced while gathering the requirements, which combined several components from legacy applications. This is because the main purpose of modernisation is to improve the existing infrastructure, applications, and security without eliminating existing functions.
The solution offered is to modernise several service components to Google Kubernetes Engine with the aim of making the application more robust and scalable. From an architectural perspective, it becomes a hybrid cloud by implementing clustering for several storage and database solutions. Furthermore, the interconnect solution also improves the security side of the architecture offered.
The result of this project is the availability of applications with a target of 99.97% with the help of the Google Kubernetes Engine and the ease with which the operations team can manage pipelines and applications.In terms of infrastructure, it uses a Hybrid Cloud architecture which makes it high available. Supported by interconnect connections that increase latency and security.
