iZeno Pte Ltd., the leading enterprise solution company in the region, has officially confirmed collaboration with its partner, TIBCO and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to fill up the Advance Manufacturing Analytics skill gap among the local engineers of Small-Medium Enterprises (SME), for Singapore Industry 4.0. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) includes joint collaboration in gearing students with the required skill set through industrial practice, internships and other application-based training.
The collaboration will focus on students from the Computer Engineering, Engineering with Business, and Engineering Systems diploma courses, acquiring relevant data analytics skillsets in the areas of Industry 4.0 and advanced manufacturing. In addition to full-time students, adult learners from relevant Continuing Education (CET) courses will also be trained in data analytics.
Quoted from Nicolas Betbeder-Matibet, regional vice president, ASEAN and Greater China, TIBCO, “The rise of the industrial revolution, digital transformation is key to increasing productivity and efficiency. As a leader fuelling digital businesses, we take pride in training and empowering the next generation in the data analytics space.”
According to Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the rapid development of Industry 4.0 will see a decrease in the reliance on low-skilled labourers doing routine tasks as automation takes place. Acting Director of Singapore Polytechnic, School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Toh Ser Khoon confirmed the importance of this collaboration to increase the marketability of their students, enabling them to excel in the rapidly changing economy and contribute to the local workforce in the era of Industry 4.0.
With years of experience leveraging on TIBCO technology in delivering Analytics Solutions for Enterprises in Singapore, iZeno is committed to fueling SP students the domain expertise when completing their final year projects and local industrial training programmes conducted by TIBCO.
“Close collaboration between higher education institutions and the technology industry is crucial in preparing students to enter the workforce.
